My Pleasure Library
My Pleasure Library is a guide to undo the shame and discomfort related to sexuality. Within the book are zines full of stories focused on especially pleasurable sexual moments, that can be added to, taken out, traded, or created. It’s a library within a book!
My Pleasure Library includes resources to write a story, make a zine, find additional resources, and instructions on how to best utilize this library as a resource.
Each zine has an envelope to hold it, creating a mini library within the book itself. The user can create their own zines with their own stories, and trade and share with others.
It was important for me to bind this book myself, and take time to create and think about pleasure as I create. The binding style I used is called coptic binding, which allows for the book to lie flat and creates an exposed spine, mirroring the vulnerable nature of the topic of pleasure and sexuality.
